Krista Lively Stauffer Acting Studio
A graduate of Otterbein University’s theatre program, Krista is no stranger to performing. Acting professionally since 2008, she has taken a bow on countless stages in the city as well as all over the nation with the traveling production “What I Didn’t Say (The Parkinson’s Play). In 2020, when the stages shut down, she signed on with a talent agency to begin commercial and film acting. Krista is now represented by Heyman Talent, The Talent Group, and Wink Talent.
But offstage, and screen, Krista lives for nearly two decades of teaching and coaching actors ranging in age from 11- adult. She feels it necessary to bring her own experiences and trainings into the teaching studio, thus she remains active in her personal acting journey.
“Krista takes the time to actually WORK with you. She's not just a coach, but she will collaborate and create with you to make you a better auditioner and performer."
Trenton- Professional Actor
Krista provided me with valuable insights into the industry and audition process and truly equipped me with techniques that transformed my acting journey. If you are serious about your craft and looking for someone who genuinely cares about your growth, I wholeheartedly recommend Krista as an acting coach.
-Antonio, Film Actor
My daughters absolutely loved being directed by Krista in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She brought the fun, energy and life into every rehearsal and performance. She made the kids feel every bit important as any other member of the cast and so, made the whole cast feel whole. They will never forget the experience she allowed them to have and they are so grateful for the opportunity!
-Rebecca- Mother of two pre-teen actors
“We are so grateful to have found Krista! My 10-year-old absolutely loved working with her—she made every session fun, supportive, and confidence-building. Thanks to Krista’s guidance and encouragement, she landed a lead role in only her second show ever! It’s been amazing to see her grow not only as a performer but also in self-assurance. Krista truly brings out the best in young actors, and we can’t recommend her highly enough!”
Erin- Parent of pre-teen stage actor
“Krista is amazing thought me how to relax not to be so intense all the time. She also worked with me on broken Irish and Russian dialects. Love her patience and willing to work with me on help me go outside my comfort zone. Very worth every penny”
-Chris- Professional Film Actor and Stuntsman
“Krista has guided me throughout my acting and auditioning journey with vulnerability, compassionate feedback and thoughtful questioning. Not only did she prepare me for auditions but also equipped me to think for myself, interpret and make choices for when I can practice with her. She has increased my confidence in auditions and in performances and also indirectly in my work and in public speaking. I feel so lucky to be her student.
-Alex- Professional Musical Theatre Actor
“As an Autistic individual who acts it’s often hard to find someone who can make the material relevant for the neurodivergent actor. Since I have done private lessons with her I have gone from an ensemble actress to booking more professional gigs. Krista's not only is a coach but she is a friend who wants to see you succeed. She loves to support her students and I love the celebration e-mail where she shares her students success stories. I love that she is truly invested in me as a person in addition to being an actress. You couldn’t go wrong with her direction.”
-Rasheeda- Musical Theatre Professional Actor
“Several years ago a mutual friend introduced me to Krista and since then I have known her as a trusted colleague in the arts in Columbus. Whenever I have a student in need of dramatic coaching, she is the first person who comes to mind. Students we have co-taught have been accepted to musical theater programs at several major universities including, but not limited to Brown, Columbia, Rider University, Boston Conservatory, CCM, James Madison University, and Utah State University. Through her individualized approach she has elevated my students to reach their potential and has provided such beautiful instruction in polishing their auditions. She has my highest recommendation!”
